Donate, Join or Volunteer

There are three ways you can get involved with us at Gedling Country Park:
  1. Volunteer for activities with the Friends
  2. Join as a member of the Friends (and use this page to renew your existing membership please)
  3. Make a donation to help with the Friends' running costs and to pay for our charitable park development activities

The Friends of Gedling Country Park is a registered charity in England (number 1167205).

If you are considering a donation or joining as a member and would like to know what your funding will be used for, please feel free to have a look at the annual reports from our last Annual General Meeting. These are available on our AGM 2016 web page.

A list of those organisations who have provide us with grants and donations already are listed on our Sponsors and Partners page.

1. Volunteer for activities

Volunteering doesn't cost you anything other than your time. The Friends of Gedling Country Park regularly holds volunteering activities in the park, including tree planting, willow fence making, creating butterfly walks and woodland glades.

Please see our Events Calendar for details of these activities. If you would like more information or have any ideas about other volunteering activities you would be interested in, please Contact Us.
 

2. Become a member or renew your membership

The Friends of Gedling Country Park is a small charity and we always welcome new members and hope that you will renew with us each year. If you're interested in getting involved and helping us to preserve and protect this wonderful green space, then please consider joining us.
Benefits of becoming a member:
  • 10% discount at Café 1899 in the new Visitor Centre (upon production of a valid and up-to-date membership card)
  • Discounts on events organised by the Friends
  • Regular updates and newsletters
  • Eligibility to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
  • Opportunity to get involved in a range of volunteering activities
  • Contributing to the development and preservation of the park
  • Discover more about the history and heritage of the site
  • Opportunities to participate in conservation work and biological monitoring.

Annual membership costs £5 per person or £10 per family (up to two adults plus children under 16).

There is now a new five year membership, which saves you 20% compared to annual membership (costing just £20 per individual or £40 per family for up to two adults plus children under 16).

Fees will go towards developing the park and activities on site.

​Please allow 21 days for us to post to you your membership card, which can then be used to receive the discounts at Café 1899 and other events ​in the park.
​You can pay online with PayPal, credit or debit cards by choosing your Membership Option, entering your name and clicking the Pay Now button below:
​If you are renewing and your details haven't changed, then you can just make the payment below please. Alternatively, please feel free to change any details by completing the form again.

Please send your completed form and cheque to our postal address below. Cheques should be made payable to The Friends of Gedling Country Park (or you can post us the form and pay online with PayPal or a debit or credit card by clicking the Pay Now button above - but don't forget to include your name so that we know you've paid when we receive your form).

If you wish to pay by BACS bank transfer, please Contact Us and we will send you our bank account details.
